Prolific, long-time author
Chelsea Quinn Yarbro has
died at age 82. Known for her historical horror novels about the vampire
Count Saint-Germain, Yarbro also wrote excellent short stories and horror movie novelizations. Here is my (unfortunately incomplete) collection of her mass market paperbacks.

I know I read Sins of Omission, back in the mid-80s, but remember little to nothing about it. Also read the Dead & Buried novelization in 81, before I got a chance to see the actual film. Book was terrific, movie was fun. Also remember seeing the paperback Messages from Michael in every bookstore and spinner rack, back in the day. Really need to read more of her stuff.
I loved her graphic and brutal novel False Dawn as a teen. She also had a great little Frankenstein tale in Byron Preiss' anthology The Ultimate Frankenstein, which was one of my favorites, 'A Writ of Habeus Corpus.' RIP CQY
