Murray Tinkelman, who died last year, produced covers for the mid-'70s Ballantine reprints of Lovecraft which are almost as iconic as the Michael Whelan ones in the early '80s. Mr. Tinkleman produced some very well done covers and his style suits the subject matter of weird fiction perfectly.
