Sorry about that. There's no doubt Lovecraft's work has enjoyed interpretation from the finest fantasy and horror artists in the paperback world. There is a tendency, however, to cram the cover with too much detail. I'm partial to the impressionistic approach shown on the cover of The Dunwich Horror, with the reaching hands and the evil face. All these images are outstanding, however, and Whelan's work stands alone in concept and execution. Thanks for sharing!
