As much as I know about Lovecraft and his works (I've nearly read them all two or more times), I was unaware of his birth date. Mine is August 26th!

ReplyDeleteThose covers bring back some recollections. The Dunwich Horror was the first HPL collection I got, in LA back in 1978.
ReplyDeleteHe was born on the same day as the lynching and _partial devouring_ of deposed Dutch head of state Johan de Witt (1672).
