have you read the book? the woman is actually the "zombie" and she isn't a zombie in the traditional sense. the zombies of the book are braindead people who have a chip implanted in them to keep them alive and walking around for cheap labor. the main character wakes up from her coma and can see/think/etc but can't control her body because of the chip.
its not about the traditional rotting zombies, etc.
just discovered your blog, and im loving it!
ReplyDeletecheers from Brazil

ReplyDeleteThanks Rafael!
ReplyDeleteThis is from '82.
If I could say any one thing to the young lady on the cover, I'd quote Hannibal Lector...

ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! One of my fave lines from that movie!
ReplyDeleteSure, the zombies may appear more like angry Nordic men than actual zombies...but c'mon...look at that jumpsuit.

I haven't read the book, I'm just interested in how the idea of the zombie has morphed over the years in pop culture.
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds pretty intriguing, actually. I may have to look it up. Sounds paperworthy.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite zombie novels.
