It's going on the wish list immediately. Still, as a 1-book historical survey of short horror stories it's hard to beat.

Dark Forces, Cutting Edge, and Prime Evil are all pretty essential in my view. DF is consistently the best of the bunch, though, no Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-825351661748594023.post-2866618535434566062010-06-01T14:11:13.600-07:002010-06-01T14:11:13.600-07:00The Dark Descent and it's companion volume Fou...The Dark Descent and it's companion volume Foundations of Fear are both fantastic anthologies. It's enormous! Two of my favorite anthologies from the '80s are Cutting Edge and Prime Evil, which I will be covering in the future. Will Erricksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16285306262078600804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-825351661748594023.post-64485021654025579322010-05-28T20:12:03.736-07:002010-05-28T20:12:03.736-07:00I've never gotten around to reading this one. ...I've never gotten around to reading this one. My favorite tales are "A Garden of Blackred Roses" by Charles Grant, and the illustrated "The Stupid Joke" by Edward Gorey.
