I'm enjoying the hell outta this book.<br />I can't help but wonder what it would be like as a film, if the directors from 'Mirrormask' did it, complete with artwork from Clive Barker himself. When I watched that movie, I was repeatedly reminded of EcclecticLadyLandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07143122816300387131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-825351661748594023.post-40935244559241628902010-06-01T12:51:46.075-07:002010-06-01T12:51:46.075-07:00I wholeheartedly agree, Amanda. He has colored my perception of the genre in film and literature as virtually no other author, except maybe Lovecraft, has. I don't think even King has had more of an impact on me.Will Erricksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16285306262078600804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-825351661748594023.post-48024563694266631912010-06-01T12:41:04.789-07:002010-06-01T12:41:04.789-07:00Weaveworld and Imagica remain my favorite books fr...Weaveworld and Imagica remain my favorite books from Barker. The imagery in those books and others like The Great and Secret Show and Everville gets glued in your head and I never tire of rereading them. I read Coldheart when it came out, or at least I tried to; honestly it is my least favorite of all his works. The old Hollywood storyline was cool, I seem to recall, but the modern-day stuff felt really off. Still, I love my UK hardback edition which Will Erricksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16285306262078600804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-825351661748594023.post-21833078112531597272010-04-08T21:26:07.508-07:002010-04-08T21:26:07.508-07:00That's a great review of a great book!
